AARP Driver’s Safety Program

AARP classes consist of eight hours of classroom instruction intended to refine existing driving skills and develop safe defensive driving techniques. The AARP class information is geared toward persons 50 years of age and older, but is open to all ages, and is taught by trained instructors. Classes are held ten months a year at various locations throughout the county. The Washington County Commission on Aging has been sponsoring the classes for over 30 years and strongly believes in the individual and community benefits derived from this course. Some automobile insurance companies give premium reductions to those who have completed the course.
