There are thirteen Senior Citizen Clubs in Washington County that meet each month at various locations throughout the community. The clubs elect officers and operate according to a set of by-laws developed by the clubs and the Commission on Aging. The Senior Clubs liaison plans and coordinates quarterly meetings for the club presidents and members consisting of lunch, discussions and speakers. Two club presidents are elected to serve as representatives on the Commission on Aging’s Board of Directors and to attend the Commission on Aging’s General Membership Meetings. There are approximately 900 senior citizens in Washington County who are active members of these clubs.
