RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) at the Washington County Commission on Aging is in immediate need of volunteers to fill the following positions. Can you help? Please call 301-790-0275 for further information.

1. Meals on Wheels Program - Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals throughout Washington County. Time involved is between one and two hours a week. Volunteers use their own vehicles. Mileage reimbursement available for volunteers 55 and over. The investment is small but the rewards are great!

2. Legal Services Department - Assisting clients in preparing Advanced Directives, formerly known as Living Wills. Training will be scheduled in the near future and conducted by a local attorney.

3. Medicare Fraud Unit - helping Medicare recipients review for accuracy and understand Medicare Explanations of Benefits.

4. Assisting Elementary School Children - we are seeking volunteers to work with elementary school children to help them with reading and very basic math.

5. COA Satellite Center - Bingo Assistant - we need volunteers who would be interested in running several games of Bingo for those in attendance.

6. Nutrition Evaluations - volunteers needed to conduct in-home evaluations of Meals on Wheels clients.

7. RSVP Advisory Council - volunteers needed to serve on the RSVP Advisory Council.
